Lubuskie Voivodeship is very unique among other Polish regions. Its peculiarity is firstly that it is one of the smallest Voivodeships in Poland and secondly that it doesn't have a clearly defined administrative center. The role of administrative center belongs to 2 cities: Zelona Gora(translation Green mountain), where legislative authorities work and the city Gorzow Wielkopolski which is the residency of voivoda (president of province) and his administration.  One more distinctive characteristic of Voivodeship is that half of its area is occupied by forest, this factor makes it very attractive for tourists who want to spend some time far from the cement jungles of the megapolis. The river Odr, which passes through the regions, is one of few rivers which conserve broadleaf forests on its banks. The region has plenty of lakes, there are a lot of resorts, farms, eco hotels on their banks. 

One of the capitals of the region Zeleno Gora in spite of its small size is developing dynamically and already is situated among leading tourist points of the country. Considering the fact that some years ago the city belonged to Germany, you can find original and charming architectural objects. Thanks to wise administration, the highly developed social and transport infrastructure of the city makes it very comfortable for the citizens and the guests. Favorable geographical location distinguishes Zelona Gora from other nearest cities. Its climate is favorable for wine production and landscapes you can see from the window attract more and more tourists annually and many of them are interested in buying or renting a flat in Zelena Gora.

Lubuskie Voivodeship has only an airport for national flights in Zielona Gora, for International flights the closest airport is in Poznan. The region is connected with other parts of Poland with railway and private  bus lines  (Flixbus). The province is located on the border with Germany so you also have fast and comfortable train and bus connection with german cities - Frankfurt, Berlin. 

On the assumption of the small size of both main cities of the region it's logical that they don't need very big transpor nets. Zielona Gora and Gorzów Wielkopolski have a couple of bus lines which are totally enough for travel fast and comfortable to any part of the city. For sure you can also walk or use a bicycle to move through the city. It's not just fast, cheap and healthy but also very pleasant because these places offer you charming views of natural landscapes. 

Lubuskie Voivodeship is considered one of the most attractive places for tourists in Poland and there are important reasons for this statement. The region has several very original places which can surprise and charm even the most sophisticated tourist. Let's start with the small town Strzelce Krajenskie. Downtown of the city is surrounded by an amazing 13th century, the length of the fortification is 1640 meter  and its width is 3 meter. In the construction also you can see 36 bastions, mills gate and prison tower from the 14th century. 

Next attraction is a castle in Krosno Odrzanskie - one of the most beautiful places in the region. It was built in the 13th century and had a fortification mission. The castle was destroyed several times during its history but now it is completely restored and represents historical treasure for the province. Next stop is a small city Lubenice, situated near the lake and impregnated by a romantic atmosphere. This place it's perfect for couples.  Near the lake you can find beaches, cafes, a point for renting equipment for the aquatic sports and even you can find a bank of lovers and bridge of lovers . Next point is lake Slawskie, the biggest one in Voivodeship. The length of its bank line is about 31 km. Along the lake  you have a road for bicycles where you can bike enjoying beautiful views. And for the end we can not forget about the main city of the province - Zielona Gora which offers a lot of interesting places to its citizens and tourists, among them town hall, Donjon Tower, palm house, planetarium Venus, botanical garden, museum of ancient tourture and wine. And if you visit the city in September you can not lose the festival of  grape collecting which took place 1,5 centuries ago in the wine park. In spite of the fact that there are few vineyards left in the city and no vine productors exist anymore, this festivity continues annually during 7 days and reminds citizens about their past. One more tradition connected to the vine are tiny sculptures of Bachusiki, the personage of Zielona Gora which represent Vakha represented in unusual images. More than 50 of these small figures with funny names create Bachus itinerary. Most of them are located in pedestrian areas, the longest one in Poland, full of multiple bars and restaurants which many times are located in old wine cellars. A lot of activities for themselves will find lovers of sport activities. They can walk by the tracking routes Nordic Walking, bicycle routes and also to navigate the barge by river Odra. If you have enough time you should rent one of the city bikes and ride by modern bike tracks to the Ethnographic museum, to the castle and park, botanic garden.

 And finally at the end of the day you can listen to a pleasant concert in Zielona Gora Filharmonia or relax in the local Recreational-sportive center and this way to have a complete day full of different activities and unforgettable memories.
