Relevant information about Province of Granada

Information

Granada – is a southernmost province of Spain, which has access to the Mediterranean Sea. A small section of the coast region is known as the Costa Tropical, and, like the rest of the province, famous for its mild climate and huge number of exotic vegetation. There are many historical sites, a large number of national parks and nature reserves. On the one hand - it attracts many foreign tourists, on the other - leads to the fact that the homes for sale and rent in Granada turn into a large sphere of a very profitable business.

Real State

Despite its attractiveness and the mild climate, the region has been relatively low popular among tourists from our country. Most homeowners here come from Scandinavia and Great Britain. Due to this, apartments for sale and rent in Granada are a more affordable pleasure than in the neighboring coastal provinces - Murcia and Malaga. So, the average cost per square meter now is only about 1,400 euros. Besides, the prices for apartments for sale and rent in Granada are not so high in the last few year, they are sinking on 25-30% in comparison to the year 2011. Today, it is quite possible to buy a small apartment in the city for just 45,000 euros. But in this case, you should get ready for the additional investments - for repairs. Today it is quite possible to find a fully furnished house near the sea with the highest level of comfort for only 90 000.

Houses for sale and rent in Granada are mostly of the middle class. Most of the offers are between 150 000 - 300 000 euro. But it is quite possible to find good options for 120 000 euro, especially in the real estate banking facilities, which are often sold at a residual value.

If you are more interested in villas for sale in Granada in the elite category, be ready to give € 500 000 away, or even more. However, this investment can be considered very profitable. After all, in this case you don’t just buy a comfortable house in the first line from the sea, but also become the following privileges:

• The basis for obtaining a residence permit;

• The Schengen visa for six months for the buyer and his family;

• Mortgage credit in the Spanish bank, covering up to 100% of the cost of housing.

All this offers great opportunities for buying property in the region, which may be turned into a profitable article of personal business by renting out for tourists throughout the year – as the beach season here never stops. Moreover, the Spanish laws are very loyal and allow the owner to receive a steady income without any additional fees and taxes.

It is quite difficult to buy a piece of land in Grenada because of the large number of national parks and nature reserves. Free land has been occupied by infrastructure facilities and commercial real estate for an already long time. Those offers that can still be found, but these would be mostly expensive objects with a building permit and an approved plan. Their cost is rarely below 1000000 EUR.

Transport

There is an international airport in Granada, but it doesn’t accept direct flights from Russia, so you have to travel with transfers via London, Liverpool or some other European cities. You can also fly to Barcelona or Seville, and from there go to Granada –either by plane, by train (there are two flights a day), or by bus.

Bus service in general is very developed in Spain, and Granada region is no exception. By purchasing a ticket that costs from 2 euros, you will be able to reach any settlement of the province. As guidance you can use the schedule and a route scheme, which are available at each stop. The ticket can be bought directly from the driver.

In the province there are three major highways and a large number of smaller roads. Almost all of them are free, so you can move through the region on a rented car without any problems.

Also in the capital of the province there is an underground, which doesn’t have a big number of stations, but this amount is gradually increasing.

Attractions

In addition to the coastal line, which is represented by a huge number of beautiful beaches, night clubs and discotheques, working until late at night, there are also a lot of historical sights in the province. And that they should be visited, at least as a part of a sightseeing tour, which is quite possible to find for 60 euros. Granada is the Arab region, which is why the mixture of different styles can be seen in its architecture. Take a look, for example, at the Cathedral, the Alhambra Palace, the Monastery of St. Jerome.

Not far from the provincial capital is a chic ski resort of Sierra Nevada. So after resting in the hot sun it is possible to go to the white mountains and enjoy the downhill.
