Bragança is a region in the northern part of Portugal bordering Spain. This area was known in ancient Rome as Brigantia. The main monument of the city is the City Hall, a building of extraordinary beauty. The fortress of Bragança, built in the 12th century, is very well preserved. For a long time it was a castle and the residence of the dynasty of the same name. Today, inside the building there is a military history museum.

Connoisseurs of natural beauties should definitely visit the National Park of Braganca - Montesinho, located near the capital of the district.
