Avila is a province in the west of Spain, located in the highlands, which affects the climate. It is more typical for central Russia - with cold winters (temperatures sink to -17C) and cool summers (+ 20C). Although the region doesn’t have a tropical climate, it still remains quite attractive due to the beautiful mountain nature and the large number of historical sights, among them - the provincial capital - the city of Avila, built in the 5th century.

It is especially interesting to visit in the province in October, when the summer heat is over and the snow has not fallen yet. Almost the entire month here are held the fests in honor of St. Theresa - patron saint of the city. At this time, there are numerous attractions, arranged bullfights, concerts and, of course, a spectacular mass led by the bishop of the city.
