Attractions

Oviedo is the capital of Asturias and is the most interesting in terms of attractions, places to see and the historic architecture city. Make sure that you don't forget to visit the city - there are many museums and attractions where you can go together with children.

 

The region is characterized by the beautiful scenery - this is also true for the mountain lakes in the Los Lagos and unusual rock formations to the east of the town of Lianes, and Dobra River southern from Cangas de Onis.

 

If you have the opportunity, it's highly recommended to make a trip through Asturias. The most convenient your trip will be if you rent the car and using the services of a guide (10 euros per hour). But it is possible also to make a sightseeing tour (30 euros - depending on the route). There are a lot of things worth not only to be looked at but also to be tried. The traditional quisine of the region differs from the Spanish one in general. Although this region traditionally refers to the sea, the seafood here prevails not so much as, for example, in the south of the country. The basis of many dishes is pork and beans. Also be sure to try the local cheese and cider, which, according to experts, is very different from other kinds of apple drinks.

 

Almost every month in one of the towns of Asturias is being held a large colorful festival: Day of Asturias, Vestival Sidra, the Bulls in the Sea, America's Day, etc.
