Alicante is a Mediterranean Spanish province in the east of the country with the capital of the same name. This region is one of the most attractive in terms of tourism, thanks to a good location close to Valencia, the large number of local attractions, mild climate and wonderful Mediterranean coast.

However, the prices are still quite favorable and you can buy an apartment on the secondary market near the city center for only 45 000 euros. But it is rather an exception, which also requires you to spend additional investments for renovation. On the other hand, apartments, the price of which starts from 60-65 thousand euros are worth of paying attention to. Apartments in the new buildings on the beach will cost several times more. Therefore, sale and rent of the luxurious houses in Alicante approximates 300-340 thousand euros.
The sale of villas in Alicante is also not so cheap. Although, if you don’t necessarily need a house in the first line from the sea, you can find offers from 220 000 euro. This one-and two-storey house of about 150 square meters. But if you are interested in the first-class accommodation, the houses for sale and rent in Alicante here has basically no upper limit, the price can go up to several million or more.
In the province can be also bought the commercial property, but it is put up for sale very rarely. After all, owning of the house or a small café which costs 500 thousand euros or more, gives certain advantages to a foreign owner:

Transport
In the capital of the province - the city of Alicante (to be exact - in its suburbs - 15 kilometers from the city) – there is a small international airport, which has direct flights from Moscow, as well as many other European cities. Depending on the season the ticket prices can change significantly, especially if you are planning to buy them a few weeks before the actual departure. But if you take care of it in advance, the flight will cost fair 120-150 euros. You can also get there from St. Petersburg and other large Russian cities with train change in Madrid or Barcelona. The train trip from the capital to Alicante is about 2.5 hours, from Barcelona - 5.5 hours.
The province has a network of highways that allows you to easily get to any resort town or the coast by bus. Buses go frequently, at every stop there is a schedule and a route that will allow you to navigate. A single ticket you can get from the driver, it cost 1.45 euros, but if you buy a special card valid for 10-30 trips, the cost per single journey will be only 70-80 cents.
Out of the city along the coast there is a line of underground, which also connects all the towns on the coast and allows you to get to the neighbour provinces. The same as with buses, you need a ticket to use it, which allows you for 30 min after buying to use public transportation and change the way of travelling so many times you need.
If you plan to travel a lot in Alicante, you can rent a car - the cost varies depending on the brand and the period of rent.
Attractions
Traveling around the province, you need definitely visit the capital. Here, in addition to a lot of interesting attractions there are many museums, some of which can be visited for free. On average, the price of the ticket is typically 3 euro for a normal visit and 5 euros for a guided tour.
Sightseeing tour in the province of Alicante is a great opportunity not only to see the nature and historical monuments, but also to get acquainted with the gastronomy of the region, which is famous for its seafood and wines. Food, even in expensive restaurants is quite inexpensive, and small snack-bars offer lunch for only 8-15 euros.
If you are traveling by a rented car, it is easier to hire a guide, whose services will cost starting from 60 euros per day and 12 euros per hour. Approximately for the same price you can use driver services with the car, which can be used for comfortable traveling and sightseeing.
