Relevant information about Mallorca Island

Information

Mallorca (or Majorca) is a Mediterranean resort island - the largest in the Balearic archipelago. It is distinguished by an amazing tropical climate, the diversity of natural beauty and gorgeous sandy beaches. Not surprisingly that Mallorca since the days of ancient Rome was famous as a resort destination, rich in fruit and wine. The first town (and survived to the present day) - Palma de Mallorca and Alcudia were founded at that time – in the 1st century BC.

Real State

Villas for sale and rent on Mallorca along with tourism are one of the most developed and popular areas of business. Many wealthy people prefer to buy a piece of land on Majorca for their own home and not spend money on rent and accommodation in a hotel, when they come for a vacation. However, the houses for sale and rent on Mallorca - is also a good opportunity to invest money. Currently, property prices there have slightly dropped in comparison with the 3-5 years ago - because of the crisis - but this is a temporary phenomenon. In the next 5-7 years they are predicted to rise on15-20%, and therefore, you will be in profit when you simply sell a house.

Houses and villas on the island can be found today at the price of 300 thousand euros. The upper limit is limited only by the imagination and financial possibilities - the price of 3, 5 and even 10 million euros are not rare.

No less in demand are apartments for sale and rent on Mallorca.

Especially because the prices for this type of real estate are much more modest. A small-sized studio apartment can be purchased for 80 thousand euro. A complete multi-room apartment in a town with a beautiful view out of the window can be found already for 300+ thousand euros, the upper limit is limited to 600-700 thousand.

The biggest demand for real estate have houses worth 500 thousand euros. This is explained by the laws of Spain, according to which, when buying a property for this minimal price, the owner receives the following benefits:

•Residence permit

• Mortgage loans in banks of Spain;

• The Schengen visa for the owner and his close relatives;

• Tax benefits.

Taking into consideration the large number of tourists apartments for sale and rent on Mallorca are able to bring considerable income. Moreover, the Spanish law is quite loyal to using of their property and don’t require (such as in Italy) to temporarily transfer the rights to manage their public authorities.

Transport

Unlike many resort islands in the Mediterranean and Atlantic region, Mallorca has a well-developed railway with two branches, connecting most major cities. All stations are announced only in Spanish, so (if you do not speak it), it will be useful to have a route plan.

Buses on the island run between all the more or less large settlements. The price ranges from 1 to 10 euros - depending on the route. If you plan to travel frequently by public transport, it is recommended to buy a ticket, it gives a 50% discount when traveling 10 times.

Also in Mallorca you can rent a car at a price of 50 euros per day. At the same time you will be asked to leave a deposit of € 200.

From the capital - Palma de Mallorca, you can get on any other island of the Balearic archipelago, or to get to the coast of Spain (Barcelona, Valencia) by ferry. The ticket price, depending on the route and the season is 40-60 euros.

Air travelling on the Continent is also available. Private airlines flyi between the islands on light airplanes.

Attractions

Houses for sale and rent on Mallorca

Are only one of the components of economic well-being of the region. The important position occupies the entertainment industry. There is a huge number of parks, rides, yacht clubs, tour agencies etc.

Most institutions work regardless of the season, so it does not matter what time you show up on the island, you will always find an activity for yourself. But it is more reasonable to start getting to know an island with a sightseeing tour – it costs 50 euros. After you learn something about the island in general, you can go hiking, for example, in the district of Valldemossa or the Parc de la Mar, to visit the ruins of the castle of Castel d'Alaro. But to fully enjoy your stay, be sure to visit the show Pirates Adventure (ticket 50 euros, food and drinks included), or a Spanish dance show Son Amar (ticket for the show and dinner - 60 euros). No less interesting is a visit of the Oceanarium (ticket 20 euros, children under 3 years - free of charge), Jungle Park (ticket 13 euros for children under 3 years old - free of charge) or the House of Katmandu (ticket 14 euros).

Active holiday on Majorca is not that common, except, perhaps, a yacht club and tennis courts, which are available in almost every hotel.
