Information
Costa Blanca (White Coast) is one of the most important tourist regions of Spain - the area of the Mediterranean coast in the province of Alicante. Soft and warm climate, due to which the summer air and water temperature is about 30 ° C, makes the Costa Blanca a real treasure of the Mediterranean Sea.
Despite such a comfortable climate of the Costa Blanca, it remains one of the most affordable tourist regions of Spain in financial respect. Therefore, homes for sale and for rent on the Costa Blanca are a developed segment of the local real estate market.
Real State
Costa Blanca offers a huge choice of real estate - from small flats and rooms on the secondary market to luxury estates, villas and hotels located right on the beach. Among our fellow citizens - typical representatives of the emerging middle class in our country - apartments for sale and rent on the Costa Blanca are the most popular. Moreover, it will be a quite decent (not very small) apartment located on the 2nd and 3rd lines. Such reasonable prices can be explained due to the peculiarities of the local housing legislation that restricts the rights of indwellers according to the HOA decision. For this reason it is quite possible that in this apartment you will be forbidden to smoke or have pets which satisfies of course not everyone. Therefore, the sale and rental of apartments on the Costa Blanca is often so affordable.
After 2008, when the sale and rent of homes on the Costa Blanca strongly sinked - in some cities up to 50% - today the real estate prices in the region are growing rapidly. Villas for sale on the Costa Blanca are sold at reasonable prices, which are lower than in Barcelona or Valencia, but higher than in most of the neighboring coastal areas.
According to the experts, the tendency of prices to increase will continue in the next 5-7 years, and the prices will return to those of pre-crisis times. That is why, if you plan to buy a piece of land on the Costa Blanca, or become an owner of real estate here, it is better to do it now – while the houses here are still relatively affordable.
Transport
You can get to any village or town on the Costa by the local public transport from Alicante, where the international airport is situated.
The cost of a bus ticket depends on the distance to the point of destination. For example, a trip from Alicante to Benidorm takes about 40 minutes, and from Valencia to Benidorm it takes 2 hours. Taxis are relatively expensive.
There is also a water connection along the coast here – these are mostly private companies offering transportation by speedboats. Ticket prices vary quite strongly - depending on the season.
Attractions
One of the main tourist attractions of the region is its capital Benidorm. Located on the shores of the Mediterranean it is bordered by a bunch of beautiful sandy beaches and offers a lot of entertainment, for example nightclubs and restaurants. During your stay in the city be sure to take a stroll along the promenade and visit the amusement park Terra Mitica, which is situated not far from there and is made in the original medieval style. It is recommended to go on a sightseeing tour, during which you will learn a lot about the history of ancient and medieval civilizations of the region.
In the center of Benidorm there is a water park "Aqualandia", which is the largest one in Spain. The starting entrance price is 18 euros. It’s highly recommended to be visited with a family.
Sightseeing tours in the region including a visit to Valencia are also worth attention. Costs of the excursion, depending on the operator.
