Cantabria - is one of the few autonomous communities in northern Spain, which is also the province of the country. The largest city is considered the capital of the province - Santander. Here the French, British and Americans prefer to rest. Experts explain this by the lower temperatures prevailing in the northern part of Spain. On the other hand, the lack of extreme heat leads those who want to buy real estate here.

The real estate market in this region is quite rich and offers the foreigners to buy housing in the different segments. The prices here are so high that this allows Cantabria to enter the top ten of the most expensive regions after Barcelona, ​​Madrid, as well as major cities Andalusia and Galicia.

A lot of the tourists who come to the province, go to the resort town of Santander. It is famous for its comfortable beaches that stretch more than 2 kilometers long. Here is offered a large number of water activities: sailing, surfing, water skiing and many others.

As for sights, in this area they are mainly represented by natural resources.

Parque Natural de las Dunas de Liencres (aka Dune Preserve Liencres) is a park, which includes a system of dunes. They are located directly at the mouth of the river Pas, and are a habitat for many migratory birds.

Parque Nacional de Picos de Europa (Peaks of Europe National Park). This park was established in 1995. Its territory stretches for 700 square meters including 3 km of the autonomous communities - Cantabria, Andalusia and Castile-Leon. Here are also situated 3 major mountain ranges and the deepest abyss in the world. All this attracts climbers and outdoor enthusiasts.
