Asturias (aka Principality of Asturias) is a province and autonomous community in northern Spain. Its territory is situated on the coast of the Biscay Bay. The administrative city of the province is the city of Oviedo, and the largest settlement - the city of Gijon (about 300 thousand people).

Amount of tourists is incredibly high here, especially in the peak season, which, unfortunately, continues, not as long as on the island of Spain - only from June to August. However, in recent years, foreigners are attracted by another factor - houses for sale and rent in Asturias.

Apartments in northern Spain are the segment of affordable housing. This affordability has made apartments for sale and rent in Asturias so popular among Europeans and Russians. For this price, you can buy a house with comfortable furniture. Cheaper deals are small flats or apartments, completed only with appliances.

In the long-term perspective a lot of people decide to buy a piece of land for construction in Asturias.

There are a lot of advantages to buy a real state in Asturias, for example: mild Atlantic climate. Unlike other areas of the Iberian Peninsula, here constantly remains a pleasant temperature to +28 degrees,good ecology. There are no large industrial enterprises here, but nature is rich. Affordable house prices. Compared to some other resort areas of Spain, the price for apartments for sale and rent in Asturias are 5-20% lower.

By plane. In Asturias there is an international airport, which is a 10-minute drive from the town of Aviles. A lot of planes arrive daily from many different European cities. There is also an internal air connection that lets you quickly fly to Asturias from other cities in Spain. 

By bus. Any city in Asturias can be reached by public transport. The trip from Madrid to Gijon takes about 6 hours. All buses are equipped with comfortable armchairs and soft stroke and tablets, which are embedded in the seat back.

By train. Train tickets are in high demand, as they allow to combine maximum comfort with a reasonable price. It is possible to get to Gijon from Barcelona (the trip will take 10 hours) and Madrid (about 6 hours).

By ferry. 3 times a week from the city of Saint-Nazaire (France) in Gijon arrives a ferry. With the same frequency runs a ferry from Poole (United Kingdom).

By car. The high-quality highways connect Gijón, Oviedo and other towns in the region with many cities in Spain.

Asturias, as well as many other coastal regions of Spain, attracts thousands of tourists thanks to its beaches and warm climate. One of the most popular resorts in the region is the city of Gijon. Here is located the "pearl" of Asturias San Lorenzo Beach. It is attractive because of the fine clean sand, great length and numerous activities. Tourists will be able to do surfing, yachting, windsurfing, water skiing and banana boating here.

A few miles from Gijón, in the small fishing village of Candas are regularly arranged bullfights.

The small resort town of Lianes attracts lovers of nightlife. In the velvet season the number of visitors can reach up to 100 thousand people. A large number of bars and discos is the main attraction here.

Those who decide to go to Asturias at the end of summer, should definitely go to the celebration of Asturias Day, which is celebrated on the first Sunday of August. At this time, the streets of major cities are full of dancers and singers, the fairs are held everywhere, as well as mass celebrations, processions and the trolley equipment,  richly decorated with flowers.

Among the attractions its necessary to mention a pre-Romanesque church and a palace built in the year 842 BCE in Oviedo.

Proponents of active recreation can go on a hiking tour to the cleanest lakes Lagos de Covadonga, or make the alloy in a canoe on the River Sella.
