Information

Costa Dorada is often called the "The Golden Coast". This is one of the most comfortable and popular tourist areas of the Mediterranean in Spain. Located on the north of the Costa Brava, the region is characterized by rolling sandy beaches, the amount of which in the area is more than at any other Spanish coast.

Also on the territory of the Costa Dorada is situated the most visited and popular amusement park in Europe - Port Aventura. So it’s not surprising that the sale and rent of homes on the Costa Dorada is one of the largest segments of the local real estate market.

Real State

Tourist attraction, infrastructural development and the close location of the French "Côte d'Azur" dictates  the pricing in real estate. Apartments for sale and rent on the Costa Dorada is not a cheap pleasure. There are basically no economy-class houses, and  attractive offers in the middle price range appear not so often. The majority of the  real estate here are luxury villas and apartments, townhouses and estates. The latter can be considered as the most affordable option on the coast. You can buy a townhouse near the sea at quite attractive price  on the secondary market. On the other hand, the new houses and townhouses will cost more, but  there is a chance to save on taxes. Local legislation provides a reduced tax rate for a purchase  of new housing - 7% instead of the standard 14%.

Villas for sale on the Costa Dorada cost from 250 thousand euros. But these are relatively small houses. Really luxurious accommodation here can be purchased for 500 thousand euros and more. Homes for sale and rent on the Costa Dorada in this price range are pretty profitable and the right decision, because it allows the buyer in accordance with Spanish law to get a mortgage loan in the Spanish banks.

Sale and rental of apartments on the Costa Dorada - also a good way to finance investments. Prices here start at quite low prices. But this is a temporary phenomenon and currently a trend in housing prices constantly growing. Having bought an apartment or an apartment on the Costa Daurada today, after 5-7 years it could be sold for 30-50% more expensive.

To buy a piece of land on the Costa Dorada one can at a moderate price, but it will most likely be just a piece of land without a building permission or permission for only the private construction. For a bigger amount you can purchase the land in the second or the first line of the sea, and investing really big money you can buy   – land with a ready and approved project.

Transport

The region has a developed network of roads and public transport - comfortable buses with air conditioning. In any major city of Costa Dorada you can easily get by bus, the ticket you can buy from the driver. Bus schedules change periodically - depending on the season. To take a look at the schedule as well as bus routes you can at bus stops. Be prepared for the fact that the bus doesn’t necessarily make a stop at the bus stop - it is not usual to take standing passengers. Some routes stop just at certain stops only at the request of passengers or a sign of the person waiting for the bus.

If you plan to travel a lot, it would be better  to buy a travel card, which gives a discount when you travel more than 10 trips.

Taxis are quite expensive here. You can also rent a car. The center of the region is the city of Salou, where you can get by bus to Barcelona and other major Spanish cities. Buses run back and forth twice a day from the airport of Barcelona.
