Relevant information about Costa del Sol

Information

Costa del Sol is one of the regions of southern Spain, which is included in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Translated from Spanish "Costa del Sol", it would mean "Sunny Beach" - it should be noted that the region fully corresponds with the name.

This region also belongs to tourist resort towns like Malaga, Benalmádena, Mijas, Torremolinos, Fuehirola, Manilva and others. Those who want to buy luxury housing in Spain go to this region. A lot of show business celebrities show interest in buying a villa in Costa del Sol.

Real State

Apartments and flats. Such type of housing is the budget option and for this reason  apartments for sale and rent in Costa del Sol attract many foreigners. As a rule, such type of real estate is equipped with electrical appliances, but not furnished.

Houses, villas and bungalows are much more expensive, but houses for sale and for rent in the Costa del Sol are in great demand as well. Basically, this type of real estate purchases Italians and citizens of other European countries.

Villas are the most expensive but at the same time the most luxury option.

To the list of the most expensive cities of the coast can be included Puerto Banus and Marbella. Modern houses and villas on the first line are considered to be the most expensive real estate objects (5 million euros).

For a modest investment perfect would be the city of Fuengirola. Here, even a luxury house will cost 2 times less than in Marbella.

There is constant construction in the coastal parts of the region, therefore, to buy land in Costa del Sol is extremely difficult.

Despite the high cost of housing, foreigners are willing to invest in local real estate for several reasons:

Climate. In this part of Spain change of seasons is not observed, so even in winter the temperature reaches 15-25 degrees. It gives excellent opportunities for year-round recreation.

Availability of universities. Many people purchase a house to organize the education of their children here. Local universities provide good potential and great opportunities to their students.

Good ecology. This area of the country is the cleanest, as the industry is concentrated in the north, and the chemical industry - in Catalonia.

Investments. Purchase of property here is one of the best investments, because the value of real estate is growing. Thus, the subsequent sale and rent of houses in Costa del Sol can bring good profit.

Transport

The fastest way to reach the Costa del Sol is by plane. 8 kilometers away from the major city of Malaga there is an airport where flights arrive from all over Europe and Italy. From the airport to Malaga it’s possible to get there by bus or by train. From the airport you can come to other cities passing Malaga. There are trains going to Fuengirola, and a  bus between the airport and Estepona.

All towns and villages of the Costa del Sol have a transport connection that gives tourists the chance to explore the whole area and visit all the sights. Numerous bus services connect the region with other cities of Andalusia. Nearly 20 private companies carry out bus service provision. The main center of it is considered to be a bus station in Malaga.

Attractions

Tourists that go to the beach often choose the resort town of Malaga, which is famous for sandy beaches, water sports and natural beauty. It also hosts wonderful lush holidays annually.

Just a few kilometers from Malaga Park is located Montes de Málaga (Montes de Málaga). This park is considered to be one of the most famous nature reserves in Spain. Here, on 5 thousand hectares of land, you can see 90 species of birds, 27 species of mammals and 400 species of plants.

In the province there are 2 water parks, which are highly recommended to visit, especially for families with children. One is located in the suburbs of Torremolinos. Entrance ticket for adults costs 26 euros, 17 euros for children. The second water park is located in the small town Midzhas (Parque Acuatico Mijas).

Another entertainment that both a child and an adult wouldn’t want to miss – entertainment park Tivoli World in Benalmadena.

Not far from the resort of Estepona, you can visit a large safari park called Selwo. Here you can see the animals in the habitat close to the natural one. The Park is open all year round.
