Cadiz is the most southern province, which is part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. The provincial capital of Cadiz is an ancient city of the same name. It nestles on a small strip of land that stretches from the Costa de la Luz to the north.

This city was founded about 3,000 years ago by Phoenician sailors, so the old part of the city is rich in historical sights, including the ruins of the Roman theater. At the Mina Square you can visit the exhibition of the Archaeological Museum, where, among other things,  are presented 2 Phoenician sarcophagus. It is possible to see the city from a bird's-eye view on the top of the Cathedral dome.

One of modern monuments are the huge pylons on the main street that runs through the town beach.

Having arrived in Cadiz in February, it is strongly recommended to get to the carnival, which occupies the third place in the world by its range. It is celebrated right before Penance Day on the weekend. At this time, the streets are very noisy, everywhere you can see dancing, costume parties. All this show continues until Fat Tuesday.
