Costa Azahar (Orange Beach) is an area of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, from the southern border of Catalonia to Valencia. Due to the mild and warm climate from the ancient times it's known for its orange gardens, thanks to which it got such a name. 

The coast remains a perfect resort area for all the 120 km of its  extension, where even on the coldest winter days the thermometer shows more than 12C.

Visit the city Peñíscola is highly recommended- it is an unofficial capital of the region, where is located the number of attractions, including ancient ruins and mediaeval castles.

For those who love sailing there is one more attractive travel destination -  Oropesa del Mar - a big city on the coast.

To become better acquainted with the history and attractions of the Costa Azahar, it is recommended to take part in a sightseeing tour, which includes visiting Valencia. Depending on the operator and the program such a pleasure will cost you 50 euros in total. On your way, be sure to visit one of the fishing villages and try the wonderful local cuisine.

It’s necessary to point out another way of entertainment in the region -  the annual Flamenco Festival.
