Information
Canary Islands is one of the most economically developed regions of Spain. This contributes to the attractiveness of tourist islands of the archipelago, where the beach season lasts almost all year round. Not less important is the diverse nature, good infrastructure, high level of service.
Real State
Sale and rent of villas on the Canary Islands – is a demanded and actual service.
It is not only the possibility of year-round enjoying exotic tropical and warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean, but also an excellent financial investment. After all, over the years, the attractiveness of this tourist region is only growing, which contributes to the developing infrastructure and an active construction.
It is quite difficult to buy land in the Canary Islands because of the shortage of land.
And even the global financial crisis hasn’t really changed the situation. Sale and rental of houses on the Canary Islands almost slipped compared to mainland of Spain, where real estate prices sank after the crisis. Today, a modest studio near the coast can be purchased for 55 thousand euro, a town house - almost three times more expensive (starting from 150 thousand.), and a complete villa is not cheaper than 230 thousand euros. Sometimes you can even find sale offer of restaurants and hotels. Prices for restaurants start from 150 thousand euros, for the latter - from 1 million. However, a really great offers do not often come across - the region has tourists all year round, and that is why the ownership of real estate or catering establishments is a good business with a stable income.
Sales and rent of homes in the Canary Islands - is popular also because the owner of even a small house or apartment gets numerous privileges provided for by the legislation of the country:
- Full ownership of the property;
- Ability to self-manage and dispose it;
- The possibility of hereditary transmission of property;
- Mortgage lending in the national Spanish banks;
- The possibility of obtaining a Schengen multivisa for a year for the owner and his family.
In contrast to other Mediterranean countries, Spain provides wide real estate right owner. The owners cannot live in it, renting a house (apartment) for a long time or a short time.
Transport
Its necessary to learn more about the transport accessibility of the region. And it is on the high level. On all the seven islands of the archipelago there is a perfectly developed motor connection, and on the two largest ones - Tenerife and Gran Canaria - there is even a network of highways.
There is no railway communication both within the islands, and between them. But there is a ferry and air service. But to get to the continent is a bit more complicated. This can be done either by plane (on the islands there are private companies with light airplanes) or on the ferry plying once a week. Flight connections to mainland of Spain on the Canary Islands are quite developed - all islands except La Gomera have its own airport. You can relatively quickly get to the coastal Cadiz on a ferry.
Internal connection is carried out mainly via buses and taxis. High-quality highway connects all major towns and hotels in the Canary Islands. But if the buses are almost free here, a taxi ride will cost quite expensive - especially over long distances.
A car rent is also available on all islands.
Attractions
Carnival in Tenerife (in the region's capital - the city of Santa Kruus) – is the largest one in Europe. It is smaller by its range only in comparison to the famous Brazilian carnival. The festivities are held throughout the week and include numerous concerts, dances, performances. The time of the carnival every year is different, because it is tied to the date of Easter. Last day of the carnival is the last day before Lent. In some ways this is similar to our holiday Maslenitsa.
Apartments for sale and rent on the Canary Islands during the carnival are in great demand. Therefore, if you want to get to this wonderful holiday, take care of the housing in advance.
Every Thursday and Saturday you can visit the costume show in the castle of San Miguel, which is an exact copy of this knight palace. Tickets for children and adults, respectively, will cost 21 and 42 euros. Guests will be able to not only enjoy the jousting tournaments, but also to try authentic medieval cuisine.
On the islands it is also quite common to host various concerts with the participation of world stars of show culture. They take place in Exit Palace - the largest concert hall of the Canary Islands, located on the outskirts of Costa Adeje.
